Hotel Photography Project:
Viroth's Hotel
Covering: Interior Photography, Exterior Photography
I was excited to work with Viroth’s Hotel, a stylish mid-century modern boutique hotel tucked away in the heart of Siem Reap’s vibrant Wat Bo Village. Located on Street 24, this leafy riverside enclave was recently named one of Asia’s coolest neighbourhoods by Time Out.
For this hotel photography project I was commissioned to capture both the interior spaces and exterior ambience of Viroth’s Hotel – from its signature 1950s-inspired design, sprawling greenery and vertical gardens through to the stylish pool deck and guest-rooms
The images above capture some of Viroth’s Hotel’s most iconic design features — the retro-inspired lounge furniture, bold colour palette, textured materials and the beautiful vertical greenery that frames the space. I focused on showcasing how the mid-century design blends seamlessly with the hotel’s tropical setting: warm woods, clean lines, soft pinks and deep reds contrasted against lush green backdrops. These spaces are stylish, relaxed and full of character, so my aim was to photograph them in a way that feels open, vibrant and true to the hotel’s cool, modern aesthetic.
Cool and stylish – everything from the chairs and warm wooden tones to the bold colors and the greenery gives the hotel a very high-end, very curated feel. It attracts a certain type of guest – people who like design, who appreciate details, who want something boutique rather than generic.
My job with this project was to photograph it in a way that makes that clear. Clean, bright images that feel modern, warm and premium, and that show exactly why the hotel has the reputation it does. Even the vintage cars outside play into that look, so I made sure to include them to help reinforce the whole vibe.
This was a really fun project to shoot. The spaces look great, and the design speaks for itself. If you want hotel photography in Siem Reap that actually reflects your brand and helps you stand out online, feel free to reach out and we can talk through what you need.
