Lub d Siem Reap Hotel Photography | Lifestyle & Guest Experience
Covering: lifestlye Photography, Interior Photography
Lub d Siem Reap is part of an international hotel brand known for its modern, social approach to hospitality, designed to appeal to a younger, experience-driven audience.
This project focused on capturing the guest experience across the property, with an emphasis on lifestyle, shared spaces, and the way guests interact with the hotel. Rather than concentrating purely on architecture, the aim was to show how the hotel feels in use, from relaxed moments in the rooms to social interactions throughout the property.
The result is a set of images that reflect the brand’s identity and can be used across the website, booking platforms, and marketing to communicate both the atmosphere and the energy of the hotel.
Social Spaces & Shared Areas
Lub d Siem Reap is designed around social interaction, with shared spaces playing a central role in the guest experience. From communal seating areas to open lounges and dining spaces, the layout encourages guests to connect, relax, and spend time beyond their rooms.
This part of the shoot focused on capturing these spaces in use, showing how guests naturally move through the hotel and interact with each other. Rather than empty interiors, the aim was to reflect the energy and atmosphere of the property, highlighting the balance between design and real guest experience.
Lighting and timing were carefully planned to capture these areas at their best, while keeping the scenes natural and unforced. The result is a set of images that communicates both the functionality of the space and the social environment the hotel is built around.
Interior Photography
Alongside the lifestyle imagery, a series of straightforward room photographs were created to clearly present the accommodation at Lub d Siem Reap.
These images focus on the layout, condition, and functionality of the rooms, giving guests an accurate understanding of what to expect. The aim was to highlight the simplicity and organisation of the space, as well as the overall standard of the accommodation, without relying on styling or staged moments.
Lighting was kept natural and consistent to ensure the rooms feel true to life, while still presenting them in their best possible state. This type of imagery is essential for booking platforms, where clarity and trust play a key role in decision making.
Together with the lifestyle content, these images help create a complete picture of the hotel, showing both the experience and the practical details of staying at the property.
Working with Brand & Marketing Guidelines
For this project, I worked closely with the Lub d marketing team to ensure all imagery aligned with their established brand guidelines and visual direction.
This included understanding how the brand presents itself across different markets, from tone and colour to the balance between lifestyle and documentation. Every image was created with its final use in mind, whether for the website, booking platforms, or social media.
Consistency was key throughout the shoot. From lighting choices to composition and subject direction, each element was considered to match the brand’s identity while still capturing authentic moments within the space.
This approach allows the final set of images to integrate seamlessly into existing marketing, while also giving the hotel a strong and cohesive visual presence across all platforms.
How the Images Are Used
The final set of images was delivered for use across Lub d’s key marketing channels, supporting both direct bookings and brand visibility.
This includes website content, booking platforms, and social media, where a consistent and recognisable visual style is essential. The combination of lifestyle imagery and clear room photography allows the hotel to communicate both the atmosphere of the property and the practical details guests need when making a booking.
By covering multiple aspects of the hotel, from rooms and shared spaces to guest interaction and dining, the content can be used flexibly across different platforms and campaigns.
This type of approach ensures the imagery remains useful beyond a single launch, providing long-term value for ongoing marketing and brand development.
Hotel Photography in Siem Reap
This project reflects my approach to hotel photography in Siem Reap, working with both boutique hotels and larger properties to create images that align with their positioning and target audience.
The focus is on producing photography that works in real-world use, from hotel websites and booking platforms to wider marketing materials. Each image is designed to clearly present the property, while also capturing the atmosphere and character that guests are looking for when choosing where to stay in Siem Reap.
If you are looking for a hotel photographer in Siem Reap or across Cambodia, the goal is simple: to create images that present your property clearly, attract the right audience, and support stronger booking performance.
Guest Experience & Local Activities
Following the initial shoot, I was invited back to produce additional imagery focused on guest experiences beyond the hotel itself, highlighting the activities and cultural experiences offered during a stay at Lub d Siem Reap.
This included documenting guided visits, temple experiences, and moments such as traditional monk blessings, designed to reflect the wider journey the hotel offers its guests. Rather than focusing only on the property, the aim was to show how Lub d connects guests to local culture and memorable experiences.
The photography captures genuine interaction and participation, creating imagery that feels immersive and natural while remaining aligned with the brand’s visual direction. These images are particularly valuable for promoting tours, experiences, and social content, helping the hotel communicate not just where guests stay, but what they do during their visit.
By extending the shoot beyond the hotel environment, the final image set presents a more complete story of the guest journey, from arrival through to the experiences that define their stay.
